Renowned singer songwriter brings his remarkable songs to the Royal Lyceum Theatre on Wed 4 and Thu 5 Jul

Rufus Wainwright has announced two shows at Edinburgh's Lyceum Theatre on Wed 4 and Thu 5 Jul. Tickets for the shows go on sale at 9am on Fri 9 Feb.

The son of folk singers Kate McGarrigle and Loudon Wainwright III, Rufus has carved out his own extraordinary career in music, releasing his self-titled debut album in 1998.

He's released 9 studio albums, the last of which, Take All My Loves: 9 Shakespeare Sonnets saw him adapt the bard's lyrics to mark the 400th anniversary of his death.

Possessed with a spectacular tenor singing voice, Wainwright shifts between piano and guitar for live shows, delivering material about love, pop-culture, politics and his own remarkable journey.
