Find out more about the Fantastic for Families
Fantastic for Families is the place for families to discover affordable and relevant quality arts activities from trusted organisers in their local area. It showcases new work that has been created especially for families and features information that is of particular relevance to family groups who want to experience arts and culture together.
You'll find art, craft, theatre, dance, music events and a lot more. You'll also find over 500 organisations who are accredited with the Family Arts Standards badge – a sign of quality and reassurance of an excellent family welcome.
Fantastic for Families began in 2013 as the national Family Arts Festival before becoming a year-round event listings service for families, launched in 2017. We've worked with over 3,000 arts organisations, hosting 2,000 events and reaching 2.2 million family members.
Fantastic for Families is run by the Family Arts Campaign, a national collaborative programme funded by Arts Council England and led by the visual and performing arts sectors to increase levels of arts engagement by families. What are Family Arts Standards?
All event organisers that are signed up to the Family Arts Standards, whether they're a theatre, an artist, an orchestra or a dance company, will provide some activities that all family members can enjoy together. They are welcoming to families, with helpful staff, good facilities and considered pricing. They give clear information to help families decide what is or isn't suitable for them and their children.

What are Age-Friendly Standards?
Organisations that sign-up to the Age-Friendly Standards value all generations and want to provide a welcoming and positive experience for everyone, regardless of their age.
The Age-Friendly Standards apply to any type of cultural experience, from museums, concert halls, libraries and art galleries, to dance companies, theatre groups, music ensembles and festivals.
They are designed to complement the existing Family Arts Standards which codify good practice in welcoming families. Displaying the Age-Friendly Standards logo affirms that an organisation has considered the often more complex needs of older visitors, either in their own building, or venues in which they present their work.
