Tony Bellew and David Haye confirm rematch at London's O2, here's how to get tickets

Boxers to fight in much anticipated rematch on Sun 17 Dec, after an epic bout in March this year

David Haye has been granted a rematch with Tony Bellew, with tickets for the bout on sale Fri 6 Oct at 12 noon.

The rematch, which takes place on Sun 17 Dec at London's O2 Arena, has been hotly anticipated since the two met back in March. Back then, Bellew – the WBC cruiserweight world champion – stopped Haye in the 11th round, though Haye had injured an Achilles in the sixth. It was the third defeat of his career.

Liverpudlian Bellew had kept the door open for a rematch, and now it's official, although it won't be happening at his preferred venue, Everton's stadium Goodison Park.

The last match was characterised by some fiery comments (particularly from the outspoken Haye), and it seems more of the same is on the cards.

Bellew isn't holding back. 'I'll be victorious and end Haye's career. Another loss to me closes the curtain on the Hayemaker,' he said, adding: 'I will have the exact same attitude I had going into the first fight – win at all costs.'

Haye added: 'Last time the script was thrown out the window and the unpredictability of sport revealed itself in its most raw form.

'Bellew somehow won the lottery in our first fight, but believe me, he won't win the lottery twice.

'I've been training every day for over six months. I already feel fitter, stronger and more athletic than I did for our first showdown. I will relish the opportunity to re-write the ending of the Haye-Bellew story.'

Another epic contest is on the cards. Don't miss your chance to see it happen with your own eyes.
