Amazon has added PBS American On Demand and Stingray Classica to its Amazon Channels UK lineup as the streaming service continues to grow
Amazon has announced that PBS America On Demand and Stingray Classica have been added to its UK lineup for Amazon Channels.
Prime subscribers were given access to the new service when it launched in May, and both channels will now be available to users to watch any time through their Prime Video app on a range of devices, smart TVs and consoles.
PBS America's ad free service will provide a variety of quality and in-depth programmes covering science, current affairs and history, including series from iconic filmmaker Ken Burns.
Among these is 'The Civil War', which won multiple awards and is the most-watched TV series on US public TV, and his Oscar-nominated feature documentary 'Last Days In Vietnam'.
Meanwhile, Stingray Classica marks Amazon Channels' first dedicated classical music subscription, featuring performances from top orchestras and ballet companies in the world.
The 'Discovering Masterpieces' series will serve as an introduction to viewers new to the genre, looking at composers like Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven.
Viewers will be able to access all the content on demand using the same details as their Prime Video account - meaning they won't need to jump between apps.
There will also be the option for most of the new content to be downloaded to watch on the go.
Amazon Channels is a new streaming service allowing Prime members to add channel subscriptions including Discovery, Eurosport Player, ITV Hub+, BFI Player+ and Hayu to their memberships.
