Alex in the Diary Room

Alexandra defended her behaviour in the Big Brother house last night (20.06.08).

The loudmouthed housemate - who was removed by Channel 4 bosses on Wednesday (18.06.08) after making threatening comments during a conversation with Darnell - claimed the show was edited to show her in a bad light during an interview with Davina McCall.

The interview was recorder earlier in the day but was shown unedited.

After watching a montage of her arguments in the house including a clip of the conversation with Darnell, she said: "I think it's the perfect epitome of editing. I'm never going to use the 'edited badly' card, because if I never said that you couldn't put it on TV, but people fail to realise this is a whole day's experience.

"That was three conversations in one on yesterday's show condensed into three minutes, and only what I had said was shown, not what Darnell said."

Alex also rejected claims the other contestants found her intimidating, saying: "I didn't feel people were threatened by me or uncomfortable. It was never like I was bullying these people.

"When I had points to put across I put them across. Admittedly, I could have perhaps put them across better."

She said she was the "first person to console" anyone who was unhappy in the house, but that was never focused on.

Alex maintained she was herself in the house, saying if she has an issue with someone she always confronts them.

She said: "You say I was aggressive, I say assertive. Some people say bully, I say bossy."

However, she did admit the 'Big Brother' experience had taught her some things.

She said: "I've learned I'm more hotheaded than I thought. I've learned sometimes you can say your point without going at that point really, really hard."
