Show is part of the venue's tenth birthday celebrations, with Dave Grohl and his bandmates heading up the celebrations
Foo Fighters have announced a show at London's O2 Arena with tickets on general sale on Wed 28 Jun at 4pm.
The gig on Tue 19 Sep is part of the tenth birthday celebrations for the venue, which having originally opened as the Millennium Dome in 2000, has now been hosting huge concerts and events for a decade.
Dave (the nicest, sweariest man in rock) Grohl and his bandmates Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear and Rami Jaffee are in many ways the perfect choice to head up the festivities.
The Foos are fresh from a triumphant headline slot at Glastonbury, where they dedicated 'Time Like These to Florence Welch (who filled in for them on the same stage two years ago after Grohl broke his leg), and performed an astonishing set playing tracks stretching from their debut single 'This Is A Call', to The Colour And The Shape's 'My Hero' and 'Monkey Wrench', and from the chugging chords of 'All My Life' to latter day singles like 'Run' and 'Something From Nothing'.
Grohl's transformation from being the drummer in one of the world's biggest bands, to being the frontman in one of the world's biggest bands, has been complete for a long time, but the Foos keep going from strength.
With ninth studio album Concrete and Gold due in September, fans lucky enough to get tickets to the party will be treated to new cuts and old classics spanning over two decades.
