Dance trio play their biggest hometown show to date on Sat 4 Nov
Above and Beyond are to play a huge show at London's O2 Arena on Sat 4 Nov, with tickets on sale Fri 26 May at 9am.
The dance trio, comprising Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamäki, toured a stripped back set in 2016 supporting their Acoustic II album, but for the giant hometown gig they'll be behind the decks again.
One of the world's biggest dance acts and one of Britain's most popular musical exports, they've topped the charts in 20 countries and headlined stages at the likes of Glastonbury, Creamfields, Pukkelpop and Lollapalooza. After dominating their field for over a decade, the decision to record and perform stripped back versions of Above and Beyond tracks was an ambitious one, McGuinness saying it felt like the group were 'kicking one of our legs from underneath us, the sound and the power of the dance productions for which we'd become famous.'
It proved a rejuvenating enterprise, allowing the craft of the songs to shine through, and giving a different context to their anthemic tracks. It doesn't get much bigger than the O2 Arena, and with memories of playing small London clubs in the early days, it's sure to be a special occasion for the group and their fans.
Tickets for Above and Beyond at London's O2 Arena on Sat 4 Nov go on sale at 9am on Fri 26 May.
