Richard Thompson reveals details of UK tour, find out how to get tickets

Former Fairport Convention man is supporting his second volume of Acoustic Classics

Celebrated guitarist and songwriter Richard Thompson is touring the UK this October, with tickets on sale now.

The former Fairport Convention man is supporting his highly-anticipated second volume of Acoustic Classics in August, and will play 15 shows across the UK in support of the album.

After the success of 2015's Acoustic Classics, 2017's Acoustic Classics Vol. 2 + Acoustic Rarities sees Thompson release another collection of cover versions and reworkings of tracks from his impressive back catalogue.

A hugely popular live performer, Thompson was recently named by Rolling Stone magazine as one of their top 20 guitarists of all time. He's an Ivor Novello award-winning songwriter too, so it's safe to say we're dealing with greatness.
