Husky voiced singer is hitting the road in November and December

Chris Rea is to embark on a UK tour this November and December, with tickets on sale Friday 12 May at 9am.

The husky voiced singer from Middlesborough, one of the most popular British songwriters of the 1980s, will play 10 shows, kicking off at Sage Gateshead on Tue 21 Nov and rounding off at the New Theatre Oxford on Sat 9 Dec.

Known for hits like 'Fool (If You Think It's Over)', 'Josephine', 'On The Beach' and 'The Road To Hell (Part 2)', the gravel-voiced guitar stalwart will be playing cuts from new album Road Songs For Lovers, due to be released later this year.

Given the proximity of the tour to our holiday season, he might even crack out the festive anthem 'Driving Home For Christmas'. Get that on your wishlist.
