Subscription gift ideas for Christmas

From flowers to cheese, send someone a little letterbox love this Christmas
Subscription boxes are, quite literally, the gift that keeps on giving. Think about it: the recipient gets regular gifts throughout the year, they get them through the post (who doesn't love post?), and you as the buyer can usually pay for this luxury in installments. So, come Christmas time, you can spend that month's pay cheque on an exorbitant mulled wine at the Christmas market instead. Here, we've rounded up a few of our favourite ideas, from monthly vinyl deliveries to regular stationery refresher kits.
Not Another Bill
This is for the giftee that is notoriously hard to buy for and / or loves surprises. When you sign up, you specify your style preferences and then each month you'll get a mystery present in the post. It's a chance to discover new artists and designers, and past presents have included a glass terrarium, See Concept sunglasses and a Meraki apothecary set.

Vinyl Me Please
That's the title of the company as well as a direct command from us, by the way. This US-based company bills itself as 'the best damn record club in the world', and it's got a point. VMP ships monthly vinyl packages across the globe, with between one and three archive records (depending on your plan), plus cocktail recipes and artist-inspired artwork. It's a great way to grow a record collection, and since the contents are a monthly mystery, it's a good way to discover new music.

Bloom And Wild
A blooming brilliant way to treat a flower-loving friend. Flowers are delivered in a letterbox-friendly package, and are designed to your specifications. You pick the first flower bouquet of the subscription, then choose from weekly, fortnightly, or monthly deliveries.

This is the macdaddy of beauty boxes. Choose from a three, six or 12-month subscription, and get regular deliveries of products. The contents are a surprise, but past boxes have included goodies such as L'Occitane cleansing foam, Revlon nail polish and Philosophy

Happy Paper Club
Everyone knows a stationery addict. Happy Paper Club will make one of them very happy indeed, since it delivers papery goodness once a month, with everything from notebooks to gift cards included.

Cheese and Charcuterie Club
Let's be honest: you can never have enough cheese and meat. This club sends two British cheeses and two handmade British charcuteries, with a jar of chutney and some delicious crackers, through the post once a month. Yes please.
