Beverley Callard gets her first tattoo
'Coronation Street' actress Beverley Callard has revealed she's got her first tattoo at the age of 59.
'Coronation Street' star Beverley Callard has got her first tattoo at the age of 59.
The actress - who is best known for her role as Liz McDonald in the ITV soap - has got the inking as a tribute to her husband Jon McEwan, with the tattoo featuring tragedy and comedy masks over a music score, as well as the date they tied the knot back in 2010.
Beverley captioned the image on her Twitter account: "Inked today xx. (sic)"
The actress had the inking done shortly after she revealed her psychiatrist believes she has bipolar.
She previously said: "My psychiatrist at present, he is convinced that I am bipolar too. He is convinced of it. The way he explained it to me is that I don't get these amazing highs or hallucinations.
"But I get the tremendous lows. I don't get the good bits I get the bad bits. But now I am much more even and relaxed."
In March, Beverley was signed off work for two months when she fell into a deep depression while shooting scenes for 'Coronation Street'.
She recalled: "I was completely suicidal. I couldn't leave the house. I didn't leave the bedroom. I wouldn't take calls."
