First acts announced for Glasgow's Tenement Trail 2016

Glasgow's multi-venue Tenement Trail celebrates its upcoming fifth birthday by announcing the initial lineup for 2016's festival on Saturday 8 October. Reformed Sheffield indie rockers Milburn will headline alongside Crash Club, Be Charlotte, Tijuana Bibles, The Lapelles, The Van T’s, Domiciles, Barrie-James O’Neil, The Bar Dogs, GANGS, The Paper Kites, Nieves, Johnny Lloyd, The Ninth Wave, A New International, Mark McGowan, Breakfast Muff, The Vegan Leather, HQFU, Lewis Capaldi, American Clay, Sweaty Palms, Indigo Velvet, Moonlight Zoo, Velvetbomb and Carousel, with more acts to be announced in the coming weeks.

The festival is also expanding. Wristband-holders will now get access to even more venues with O2 ABC1, O2 ABC2, The Art School, The Vic Bar, King Tut’s, Broadcast, Nice N Sleazy and Flat 0/1 all taking part in 2016, adding up to over 12 hours of music from more than 50 bands across eight venues.

Tenement Trail Festival Director Chae Houston commented: 'This is our biggest event yet. We’re delighted to have Milburn headline this year’s event and with the addition of the iconic ABC 1 venue to this year’s venues, we’re sure it’s going to be a TT to remember.'
