Kaiser Chiefs are bringing in summer with a trio of announcements: a new single ‘Parachute’, a new album Stay Together and a one-off gig at the London Palladium in July.
Produced by Brian Higgins (Pet Shop Boys, New Order) and mixed by Serban Ghenea (Beck, Rihanna), ‘Parachute’ is the first single from their forthcoming album and, according to Ricky Wilson, the first love song they’ve written since 2007’s ‘Ruby’. Claiming Stay Together is their ‘relationship’ album, Wilson also says it is entirely different to their ‘protest album’, 2014’s number one Education, Education, Education & War.
Not content with a new single and album announcement, Kaiser Chiefs have also revealed they will play a one-off show at the London Palladium on Mon Jul 11. Throughout the summer, they will also appear at V Festival, T in the Park, Ibiza Rocks. Rock Werchter, Boardmasters and Lollapalooza.
Tickets go on sale Thu 16 Jun. ‘Parachute’ is out now via Fiction / Caroline International, Stay Together is out Fri Oct 7, Kaiser Chiefs play London Palladium on Mon Jul 11.
