Black Sabbath announce UK tour dates, their last ever tour dates

Black Sabbath, who are currently on their farewell tour (aptly named The End), have revealed the tour's final dates. The band’s last gig is set for Birmingham, where they originally formed in 1968. Imagine how much eyeliner Ozzy has gone through in that time.

Tony Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne and bassist Geezer Butler headline Download Festival on Sat 11 Jun, and the news of the dates was broken on flyers handed out at the festival on Thu 9. The Sabs will tour extensively across Europe, North America and Canada before a series of dates in South America in Nov and Dec 2016.

Jan 2017 sees the English heavy metal icons, known for tracks including ‘War Pigs’, ‘Sabbath Bloody Sabbath’ and ‘Paranoid’, bring the tour to a close on home soil, with nine dates at five UK cities.

Black Sabbath 2017 tour dates:
Mon 22 Jan – Manchester Arena
Wed 24 Jan – SSE Hydro, Glasgow
Fri 26 Jan – First Direct Arena, Leeds
Sun 29--Tue 31 Jan – O2, London

The band's last studio album, 13, was released in 2013 with Brad Wilk of Rage Against the Machine instead of original drummer Bill Ward. An eight-track CD entiled The End is available to buy at dates along the tour.
