Following sold out March tour, musician announces six further dates in 2016
Ludovico Einaudi will return to our shores in November for a continuation of his wildly popular Elements tour, which sold out in record time multiple UK dates in March this year.
Last week it was announced that the Italian pianist and composer would perform at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow on Wed 23 Nov, with tickets for that show already on sale. However, it has just been revealed that the chart-topping musician has added four further cities to his autumn calendar, with stops in Plymouth, Bournemouth, Cardiff and Birmingham. Einaudi is also slated to appear at London’s Royal Festival Hall in July.
His music has been described as minimalist, alt-classical, ambient and contemporary, but it defies easy classification. He sums it up best: ‘There is something in it that comes from classical,’ explains Einaudi, ‘but I have influences from different music I have experienced in my life, from African music to folk and rock.’
Elements represents his 12th solo work to be released, and follows on from In a Time Lapse, which topped the US and Canadian charts in 2013.
