Jake Hall nearly lost his kidney after allegedly being stabbed in Marbella.

The 'Only Way Is Essex' star is said to be recovering in intensive care in hospital in Puerto Banus, Spain after a fight broke out at the Love Juice event at Aqwa Mist nightclub.

A hospital report reportedly states that the 24-year-old television personality was stabbed in his right side and his kidney was affected by the incident. However, it is thought the doctor's intervention has prevented any permanent damage.

Of the events leading up to the stabbing, a source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It was like something out of the Wild West. The problems started earlier in the day during a spray party at the Ocean Club when a bottle thrown by a group of men from London hit the girlfriend of one of the Liverpudlians.

"The Londoners had already been causing mayhem by playing a stupid game at a party the day before where they were smashing bottles over each others' heads. It kicked off for real in Aqwa Mist. Jake was with the Liverpudlians who are well known in the area and he suffered a very bad injury."

Police were set to quiz Jake over what happened when he left hospital but after the news was made public, the case has now been put at the top of the pile. Cops are expected to speak to Jake in hospital on Wednesday (01.06.16) after doctors deemed him well enough to receive visitors.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the reality TV star previously confirmed Jake was being treated in hospital but did not divulge any other details.

They said: "Jake is in hospital in Marbella however, I cannot confirm any further details at this time."
