Welsh hitmaker Sir Tom Jones is the latest addition to the Summer Nights series at Kelvingrove Bandstand, Glasgow, with a headline show on Tuesday 9 August. With over 50 years in the music business, from huge hits 'It's Not Unusual', 'What's New Pussycat?' and 'Delilah', to his return in recent years to his blues roots, Sir Tom is a consummate showman and crowd-pleaser with an absolute belter of a voice.

He joins an already impressive line-up which also boasts The Waterboys, Idlewild, Will Young and Eddi Reader, with several dates already sold out (Van Morrison, Super Furry Animals, Lloyd Cole & The Leopards, Justin Currie & The Pallbearers and Primal Scream).

'The public response to this year's Summer Nights at the Bandstand has been sensational, and now to be able to announce that the legendary Sir Tom Jones is joining the incredible line-up is just mind-blowing,' said Mark Mackie, director of Regular Music. 'Sir Tom is one of the greatest stage performers that the world has ever seen and now we have the chance to see him up close in this historic amphitheatre on the banks of the River Kelvin. Be quick when tickets go on sale on Friday at 9am, or you will be disappointed.'
