Paula Lane is expecting a baby girl.
The 'Coronation Street' actress and husband Tom Shaw - who already have 15-month-old son Arthur together - are elated they will have "one of each" when they welcome their second child into the world in July.
Paula said: "We found out we were having a little girl at our 20-week scan.
"I wasn't bothered what we were going to have but I did think it would be lovely to have one of each. When the nurse told us we couldn't believe we had been blessed to have one of each. And she'll have her big brother to look after her."
However, Tom is already nervous of his little girl's teenage years.
He said: "I'm looking forward to having a teenager but I'm worried about the teenage years. I think in about 13 years I might be the most unpopular person in her life."
Paula will leave her 'Coronation Street' role of Kylie Platt a few weeks before she gives birth and she is excited about what the future holds.
She told OK! magazine: "I'm going to take six months maternity leave and there are a few meetings in the pipeline. I feel really excited and I can't wait to see what's out there.
"I've missed that adrenaline rush about the unknown."
