The Wasp Factory

Malcolm Sutherland’s adaptation of Iain Banks’ acclaimed novel hasn’t been seen in a major production since its debut in the early 90s. The tale of Frank, a deluded teenage psycho with surprises not only for his audience but even himself, looks like making a profound impact with its commentary on rural alienation and violence.

Tron, Glasgow, until Sat 26 Apr, then touring.

Cumbernauld Theatre, working with the Tron, take on the mammoth task of adapting Iain Banks' first, best-loved, and most disturbing novel for the stage. Meet Frank, just your average island-dwelling, 16 year old serial killer, or so he thinks... Recommended for ages 15+.
