Tilda Swinton is to star in 'Suspiria' alongside Dakota Johnson.
The 55- year-old actress will join the 26-year-old 'Fifty Shades of Grey' star for the remake of horror master Dario Argento's sinister 1977 movie.
The title will be directed by Luca Guadagnino following David Gordon Green's attempts to bring the film to fruition for many years. He finally exited the project in 2008 because of budget issues.
Guadagnino confirmed the two actresses will star in his reboot in a recent Q&A and also revealed aims to remain true to the plot of the original movie while follows ballet student Suzy, who wins a place at a renowned German academy only to notice numerous disappearances and deaths on campus and soon discovers that the town is filled with witches.
The original was set in the town of Freiburg, however, Guadagnino has moved the setting to Berlin.
Guadagnino and Swinton previously worked together on the drama 'I Am Love' and the director has also worked with Johnson on 'A Bigger Splash'.
He hopes to be joined by American composer John Adams to make the score for the film.
Guadagnino should have plenty of time to finalise the details as filming on 'Suspiria' won't begin until Johnson wraps up her work on the two 'Fifty Shades of Grey' sequels.
