BBC Breakfast host Dan Walker set four alarms on first day
Bill Turnball's predecessor Dan Walker had to set four different alarms to wake up in time for his first day on 'BBC Breakfast'
'BBC Breakfast's new host Dan Walker had to set four alarms for his first day on the early morning news show.
The 38-year-old presenter was concerned he'd sleep through and miss his debut gig on the programme this morning (29.02.16) so he made his phone go off every minute from 3:25am to ensure he heaved himself out of bed on time.
Taking to his Twitter account last night (28.02.16), the handsome star uploaded a screenshot of his stomach-churning alarms accompanied by motivational titles.
And it seems Dan's get-out-of-bed routine worked as he followed with another tweet bright and early, saying it was number three, entitled the 'Final Snoozer', that did the trick.
The 'Football Focus' host has taken over from legendary newsreader Bill Turnbull on the famous red sofa and has admitted he was riddled with nerves ahead of his new gig.
He said recently: "It is an honour to be given this opportunity and to follow in the footsteps of someone like Bill Turnbull."
But the good-looking star - who has three children with his wife Sarah - isn't nervous about following in the footsteps of Bill as he has over 17 years experience in the industry.
He added: "The man has significant shoes to fill so I hope I can do as good a job as he did waking up the nation."
Bill, 60, who announced his retirement from the programme last year, was given an emotional send off last Friday (26.02.16) when he presented his last ever show.
