Johnny Marr is guest performer on Hans Zimmer's tour
Former The Smiths Johnny Marr will perform live with Hans Zimmer on his upcoming tour this April
Johnny Marr will join Hans Zimmer on upcoming European tour.
The 52-year-old former Smiths guitarist will join forces with the award-winning German composer-and-producer to perform live as a guest on his tour, which will start in April in the UK in London and continue to Berlin, Germany, and Paris, France.
A post from Johnny's official Twitter account read: "Johnny announces he will play select live dates with @RealHansZimmer as guest performer (sic)"
The pair have worked together on the soundtracks for movies such as 'Inception' - which starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy - 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' and most recently gay rights story 'Freeheld', which stars Julianne Moore and Ellen Page.
Speaking about working and playing with Hans, 58, Johnny said: "Playing with Hans is always great, all that great music, and the orchestra. On the stage it goes to another level."
The pair collaborated at Hans' 2014 Hammersmith Apollo last year, and at the 'Inception' premiere in 2010 and are rumoured to extend their working partnership on Johnny's next solo album.
