We've got some really good surprises in store for viewers this year with filming set to commence on location next month."
Producers are remaining tight-lipped on details surrounding the new series - including who will return, guest stars and storylines - but have teased all will be revealed nearer the time.
And, although it's only series nine that has been given the go-ahead so far, it's believed production company Filming Spain has provisionally signed for series 10 as well, according to reports from Costa Blanca.
Meanwhile, fans are set to be in for a surprise tonight when Liam Conroy (Adam Gillen) - who made a dramatic exit last year - turns up to surprise his father Les - also known as Lesley - (Tim) and confirms he'll be staying at the resort for good.
