The former 'EastEnders' star has jetted across to the Austrian slopes for an "assessment" as bosses hope he'll pick up the tricks of the trade swiftly and take Beth Tweddle's place in the competition this weekend after she ploughed into a bollard during training last week and broke her back.
And the 34-year-old actor already has a head start as his girlfriend Stacey Solomon has no doubt given him some tips after she made it to the seventh round when she competed last year.
However, Joe isn't the only person drafted in as a replacement as Miss Great Britain Zara Holland is also being put through a vigorous assessment.
