Time to dig that big foam hand out of the back of the cupboard as the 50th edition of the Super Bowl hits our screens. Super Bowl 50 takes place at Levi's Stadium in California, kicking off at 6.30pm Eastern time, that's 11.30pm in the UK. Luckily plenty of bars across the cities are screening the game, with Budweiser and hot dogs galore to get you into the American swing of things.

Sportsters – This sport-savvy bar ensures you don't miss a second of the action, showing the game on 40 different screens including seven giant projectors. The Edinburgh Wolves American Football team are in residence and there are cheerleaders, beer pong and a Fireball hot wings challenge to keep you entertained between plays. 1a Market Street, Edinburgh

The Record Factory – American Football team Glasgow University Tigers have partnered up with The Record Factory to ensure Glasgow gets its NFL fix. The game is shown on Record Factory's large projector and there are deals on beer, hotdogs and burgers. 17 Byres Road, Glasgow

Walkabout – The Australian themed bar host their annual Super Bowl celebration. Build-up begins at 10pm with team profiles and real-time stats on the big screens. Sports fans can enjoy chicken wings, hot dogs and the inevitable Bud. Pre-book to guarantee a seat. 128 Renfield Street, Glasgow

Hard Rock Cafe Glasgow – Not to be outdone by its Edinburgh sibling, Hard Rock Cafe Glasgow is also screening the event, with half-time wings and hot dogs included in the £10 ticket price. 179 Buchanan Street, Glasgow

Commitee Room No 9 – They've a busy evening planned at the Merchant City bar, with a quiz from 8–10pm and pre-game from 10.30pm followed by kick-off. There are also food and drink packages available. 18 John Street, Glasgow
