David Gest quits Celebrity Big Brother
David Gest has been forced to leave the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house due to medical reasons and his departure will air in tonight's episode
David Gest has left the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house.
The larger-than-life personality, 62, who has been battling with ill health over the past week, has been forced to leave Channel 5's infamous abode on medical grounds and his departure will be aired in tonight's (18.01.16) episode.
A spokesperson for the show said: "Due to medical reasons, David Gest has decided to leave the 'Celebrity Big Brother House'. His exit will appear in tonight's show at 9pm."
David's sudden departure comes just days after he was sent to the house's spare room by bosses in order to get some rest and recuperate after he complained of feeling unwell.
A spokesman explained the music producer's absence at the time: "David has been unwell and given time to rest and recuperate in Big Brother's spare bedroom within the house."
David is the forth celebrity to leave the house after disgraced politician Winston McKenzie was given the boot two weeks ago, Jonathan Cheban walked last week due to stress and Nancy Dell'Olio was evicted by viewers over the weekend.
And it looks like axed 'Hollyoaks' actress Stephanie Davis and the late David Bowie's ex-wife Angie could be next as they have both threatened to quit the show in recent days.
Meanwhile, producers were thrilled when they secured David for the current series as they believed he would bring a much wider audience to the show and create more humour.
