Daniel Kitson announces work in progress mini tour

Performer to test new material at all three Stand venues

Following a sold-out run in Nottingham, comedian, playwright and performer Daniel Kitson is to try out new material at the Stand's Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle comedy clubs in February and March.

Kitson himself flippantly describes his mini tour as, 'just me, banging on and on and on with no shape or structure of thematic conceit and certainly, one imagines, without any jokes,' before half-threatening, 'there may or may not be an interval.'

It's been a good year for Kitson (when has it not been?) His ingenious show Polyphony was a huge Fringe success and he followed that that with Stories for the Starlit Sky on an autumn tour alongside singer-songwriter Gavin Osborn. Initially written in 2009 as a trilogy for performance over successive nights, Kitson and Osborn presented the lot as theatrical omnibus in a series of one-off shows across the country.

Daniel Kitson: Work in Progress dates at The Stand:
Edinburgh – Wed 17 Feb
Glasgow – Wed 2 Mar
Newcastle – Mon 28 Mar

Tickets available from 12pm on Mon 18 Jan.

Mr Kitson, the bearded one in need of no introduction or hype, presents some ponderings.
