Joe McElderry wants to do Strictly Come Dancing
Joe McElderry would love to be asked to do 'Strictly Come Dancing' because in his mind he can dance like Beyoncé
Joe McElderry would "love" to do 'Strictly Come Dancing.'
The 'X Factor' alumni - who won the 2009 series of the ITV talent show - is keen to snag a gig on the BBC celebrity Ballroom and Latin show in the near future because, in his mind, he thinks he can move like Beyoncé.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "I'd love to do 'Strictly'. I'm a creative dancer, so I'd love to do that. That would be an amazing one to be a part of. I mean I'm not a brilliant dancer, but in my head I think I am Beyoncé."
Elsewhere, the 24-year-old singer has rubbished recent rumours he's going on 'Coronation Street', but said he'd be up for doing some acting for the small-screen in the future.
Addressing the 'Corrie' comments, he said: "I don't know where that came from. I think in a few interviews I did, people asked if I'd like to be in a soap and everyone assumes that you are going to be in it.
"But I've never been asked. I'd like to dip into it, I'd like to still do music but dip into pieces of it."
Joe is starring in the UK tour of 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' from January 26. (www.josephthemusical.com)
