Former 'Strictly Come Dancing' judge Arlene Phillips underwent "minor" surgery on her knee yesterday after damaging it whilst dancing
Arlene Philips underwent a "minor operation" on her knee yesterday (07.01.16).
The former 'Strictly Come Dancing' judge, 72, was forced to go under the knife on Thursday morning to repair the crucial joint in the leg after she damaged it prancing around.
Taking to her Twitter account prior to the surgery, she wrote: "2016 off to a great start with knee surgery! #knee #tear #hospital #blackandwhite #poorme (sic)."
But it wasn't just her painful knee the brunette beauty had to deal with, as she was also struck with a pounding headache before the 20-minute operation due to dehydration and lack of food ahead of the anaesthetic.
She added: "Waiting patiently for minor knee operation today but with fiercest headache due to lack of water and food before anaesthetic. 20 minute op. General anaesthetic or epidural. I have 1 hour to decide Help. I am weighing up pros and cons of each (sic)."
However, later that evening the former dancer appeared to be on the mend as she updated fans with her condition.
She wrote: "Love and thank for all the lovely messages on Twitter. Much appreciated and confidence building. I'm home and happy and gently exercising."
