Kim and Kanye force rapper Saint West to retire from music
Canadian rapper Saint West has retired from the music industry following Kim Kardashian West and husband Kanye West's announcement to call their newborn son Saint
Rapper Saint West has retired after Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West gave their newborn son the same name as him.
The Canadian rap artist revealed he is finished with the music industry after the reality TV star and 'Goldigga' singer settled on the name for their little boy, who was born on December 5.
In a video clip posted on TMZ, Saint West - also known as Lindon McIntyre - says of the baby adopting his moniker: "Hi, I'm Lindon, also known as Saint West. I'd like to announce my official retirement from hip-hop.
"Congratulations Kanye and Kim, thank you for choosing such a beautiful name. Saint West, may God smile on you. I'll always be cheering for you. And try to avoid becoming a rapper."
Kim, 34, had a tough birth because of her medical condition, placenta accreta, and revealed at the time that she and Kanye, 38, chose the name to show how much of a "blessing" the three-week-old is.
Meanwhile, the superstar couple's first child, daughter North West, was born in 2013 and discussing possible names for their second baby, the 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star previously said: "I don't like South West... North will always, you know, be better and be more... she has a better direction".
