Danny Dyer: 'Juggling EastEnders and Strictly has made Kellie ratty'
Danny Dyer says juggling 'EastEnders' and 'Strictly Come Dancing' has made his co-star Kellie Bright "ratty" but he praised her for her commitment to both.
Danny Dyer says juggling 'EastEnders' and 'Strictly Come Dancing' has made Kellie Bright "ratty".
The 'EastEnders' actress will compete in the BBC dance show's final this weekend and has also been busy filming festive wedding scenes with Danny - who plays her on-screen partner Mick Carter - and he admitted it has been tough for her.
Speaking at London's Soho Hotel for BBC's 'EastEnders' Christmas Launch, Danny told TV presenter Gabby Roslin: "To juggle the two, I don't know how the girl's done it to be honest with you - to commit to the two of them. She's made it to the final and she's got there on merit.
"She's been a bit ratty on a few days, I don't blame her because I would be ratty! But she's in the final and she's a beautiful human being, Kellie Bright. I'm part of a double act. Without her, Mick don't work. I'm just rooting for her.
"She had to rehearse that day [when filming wedding scenes], she was rehearsing in the garden."
And Danny joked that he could be making an appearance on 'Strictly' if anything happens to Kellie's dance partner Kevin Clifton.
He quipped: "Kevin Clifton's had to pull out, so I'll have to be her partner! So I don't fancy her chances. No, I'm so proud of her. We're all so proud of her. There's been past 'EastEnders' actors who have done it."
