Andrea Bocelli to sing iconic songs from world of cinema on new UK tour

Biggest name in classical music to play Sheffield, Glasgow and London

It's no wonder many consider Andrea Bocelli to be the world's greatest living tenor: his latest album Cinema made history in the UK reaching number 3 in the Official Charts and he is the only classical artist to achieve ten Top 10 albums. The Italian singer will serenade UK fans with a three-date visit in September 2016 with stops in Sheffield, Glasgow and London.

The tour will showcase Bocelli's Cinema, a homage to some of the greatest songs from classic cinema soundtracks, as well as arias and duets from the most legendary operas and other classic pieces from his repertoire. The album features theme songs from films such as Doctor Zhivago, The Godfather, Gladiator, Life is Beautiful and Breakfast at Tiffany's, as well as songs from stage musicals turned films, including West Side Story and Evita.

'It has been a dream of mine for decades to bring to life great film soundtracks,' says Bocelli. 'They are an artistic treasure trove and a soundtrack to many people's lives, experiences and precious memories. Bringing the Cinema album to live concert audiences is an opportunity I could not miss.'

This will be a rare opportunity to experience the highest-selling classical artist of all time and the man of whom Celine Dion once said, 'if God had a singing voice, he would sound a lot like Andrea Bocelli.'
