Lauren Murray: Cheryl was wrong to not pick me on The X Factor
Lauren Murray believes Cheryl Fernandez-Versini was wrong to say she couldn't handle The X Factor final
Lauren Murray says Cheryl Fernandez-Versini was wrong to vote against her in 'The X Factor' semi-final because of her emotional state.
Despite breaking down in tears just moments before she was due to perform in the sing-off against her pal Che Chesterman, Lauren has rubbished Cheryl's claim she wasn't strong enough to face the final next weekend.
Lauren - who confessed she almost had a "panic attack" before her final performance - said: "I've come this far. It's been two months of filming and that's never happened. I was in the bottom two last week. I had a bad week, I was sick, I was up against Che, I'd just had enough to be honest with you.
"Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. But as you can see, the proof's been on the TV, that's never happened before."
The brunette beauty admitted that despite being about to go head to head to stay in the competition, Che encouraged her to do her best in the sing-off.
She told Radio Times magazine: "I was just crying. I was like, "I can't do it, I can't do it.' I was literally starting to have a panic attack. Che was like, 'You've got to'. Then the doors started opening and I just had to walk out. It was hard. It was really hard.
"Che was really calm. I think he knew if he wasn't I would have been worse, so he had to literally be like, 'Stop it'. But it was really difficult. I just had to (sing). What could I do?
"I had one eyelash up here, one down here, tears here. I didn't know what was going on. I just had to go for it. I knew my throat wasn't there, so I just knew. I just knew it was me going home."
Che is now set to go up against Reggie 'N' Bollie and Louisa Johnson in the final.
