Alesha Dixon has rubbished claims 'Strictly Come Dancing' is a "fix" and has admitted the show is the "cleanest" programme on television

Alesha Dixon has praised 'Strictly Come Dancing' for being "the cleanest show" on television.

The 37-year-old singer, who was a judge on the Ballroom and Latin dancing programme from 2009 until 2010 after she competed and won the series in 2007, has rubbished claims the TV show is a "fix" and is adamant there's nothing "dodgy" about it as it's purely down to the public who wins.

She explained to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "From my experience and my knowledge there is no fixing on 'Strictly' and there never has been. It's a brilliant show and the public decide who wins and I think you always get these little hiccups where accusations are made, but there is really nothing dodgy about that show. It's the cleanest show on television - I still love watching it every week."

And, after watching the celebrities hit the dance floor every week, the former Mis-Teeq beauty has already decided who she wants to walk away with this year's Glitterball Trophy.

She explained: "I love Jay McGuiness, I think he's fabulous.

"Not only is he technically incredible, he's very humble and a very sweet guy."

Meanwhile, 'Strictly Come Dancing' has come under fire in recent weeks after professional dancer Ola Jordan, 33, claimed the judges are told by producers how to mark the contestants based on the show's weekly ratings.

And it was slapped with more "fix" allegations last week after it emerged the panel - consisting of Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli - are allowed to see the celebrities and their professional partners practice their routines in order to prepare their comments.
