Justin Bieber praises mentor Kanye West
Justin Bieber says he was impressed by how much Kanye West cared when he asked for his advice on new album 'Purpose'
Justin Bieber got comeback advice from Kanye West.
The two became close when Justin asked for his advice on new album 'Purpose' and Justin was impressed by how much the rapper cared.
He told NME magazine: "Out of anyone in the industry who is creative and I see eye to eye with, he really gets me. His advice is always just, 'make music that's so good people can't hate on it'. I didn't wanna bore him or waste his time. So I was like, 'Can I play you these songs?' and he was like, 'I wanna hear everything.' To hear him say that, it stuck with me. It just showed that he cared."
However, Justin previously revealed that a planned collaboration between him and Kanye did not work out.
He said: "Kanye was a part of the process, but doesn't have any records on the album. The Kanye song I did, we never finished it. It just was kind of in a different direction.
"I mean opinions of creativity are just opinions. At the end of the day, sometimes their opinion's not going to match up with my opinion. I get their opinion just to see, but sometimes it doesn't."
