Monica Michael doesn't think she can win 'The X Factor'.
The 25-year-old singer - who was brought back for the live finals as a wildcard entry - will be happy to keep "entertaining" people for as long as she can, but is doubtful she can triumph over her rivals.
She said: "I've never said I can win. I'm not sure I will.
"I just wanted to get to the live shows and entertain people. I'm just trying to get through each week as best I can."
And Monica is enjoying having the chance to "evolve" and push boundaries on the show.
She said: "The show has given me the confidence to try new styles and showcase my full range.
"No one is trying to change who I am but they're giving me the confidence to evolve. I always try to push myself."
And Monica - whose stepbrother drowned last year aged 18 - is paying no attention to negative comments on social media.
She told Closer magazine: "You can't please the world and I'm not trying to. Everyone has an opinion of you, whether you're famous or not.
"Everything just seems bigger when you're in the public eye but it's not a big deal to me.
"Everything I've been through has made me strong and the songwriter that I am. That's why internet trolls won't bother me.
"I've been through much worse and survived."
