I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' campmates could be forced to consume bushpig semen, which is 'going through legal' to ensure it can be be used in the ITV show.

'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!' contestants could be asked to consume bushpig sperm as part of a Bushtucker Trial.

The "super gross" specimen is currently being tested in a laboratory to make sure it's fit for human consumption and producers have had to consult with lawyers to check if ingesting the ingredient is even legal.

David Morgan - who has joined spin-off show 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! NOW! this year - revealed: "There's a new ingredient for the eating challenges, it's super gross. We can't tell you. It's so bad they're trying to find out if they're legally allowed to give it to the celebrities. It's going through legal..."

Returning presenters Laura Whitmore and Joe Swash avoided revealing the name of the revolting sample, but did not deny the rumours that have been circulating when it was suggested it was the semen of a bushpig - a large, hairy member of the pig family.

Laura mused: "And how does one extract said..."

While Joe quickly added: "That should be a trial in itself."

And referring to Channel 5 reality show 'The Farm', where Rebecca Loos masturbated a boar to collect its semen, Morgan joked: "Maybe when Channel 5 buy the format..."

A spokesperson told Radio Times magazine the rumours that bushpig semen is being tested for the the trials are "pure speculation" and any trial is "subject to the same stringent health and safety regulations".

'Hollyoaks' actress Jorgie Porter, former boxing champion Chris Eubank and 'Made in Chelsea's Spencer Matthews are among the stars who have reportedly been confirmed for the upcoming series.

'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!' starts this Sunday November 15 at 9pm on ITV.
