Lady Colin Campbell has signed up for 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!'
The 66-year-old star - who is best known for her biographies on members of the royal family including Princess Diana - has reportedly arrived in Australia ahead of the new series of the reality show.
Lady Colin - who is also known as Georgie Campbell - was born with a genital defect which led to her being registered as male and brought up as a boy until her late teens, despite her and her family knowing that she was female.
She previously revealed how her parents injected her with male hormones and claimed her father tried to encourage her to commit suicide by saying the "solution" to her problem was "rat poison".
Despite her marriage to Colin Campbell lasting less than two years, she has kept his name.
In 1992, her book 'Diana in Private: The Princess Nobody Knows' - in which she detailed Diana's struggle with bulimia and her affair with James Hewitt - was "dismissed as fantasist" until the information was corroborated by other royal biographies.
Lady Colin is set to join 'Hollyoaks' actress Jorgie Porter in the jungle as well as rumoured contestants Stephanie Constantine, Kieron Dyer, Vicky Pattison and Duncan Bannatyne.
