Cheryl Fernandez-Versini couldn't believe her girl group Alien Uncovered were voted out of 'The X Factor' on Sunday's (01.11.15) show.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is "absolutely gutted" Alien Uncovered have been voted off 'The X Factor'.

The 32-year-old star - who was the girl group's mentor on the ITV talent show - took to her Twitter account last night (01.11.15) to admit she was devastated her fellow judges Simon Cowell, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw had decided to save Kiera Weathers instead.

She wrote: "Absolutely gutted @AlienUncovered went home tonight.. But wanted to say thank you soo much to everyone who voted & supported them (sic)"

And despite voting against them following the sing-off, Simon confessed he was shocked to see them go out of the competition so soon and even described them as "the future".

However, despite being one of the first two acts to be sent home, the girls have vowed to stay together and continue performing.

They told ITV's 'Good Morning Britain': "We are in it until the end. This is not the end for us. Obviously last night was a shock I guess, but we're going to keep going."

Meanwhile, Bupsi Brown - who was one of Simon's three Over 25s - was also voted off after receiving the fewest votes from the public.
