Villagers to play Shepherd's Bush Empire

Dublin folk band to perform at the London venue in February

Irish indie band Villagers are to play the Shepherd's Bush Empire on Thu 11 Feb.

The Dublin folksters are currently on tour in North America before returning to Europe for a set of shows later in the year.

Formed in 2008, Villagers (Conor O'Brien, Tommy McLaughlin, Danny Snow, James Byrne and Cormac Curran) came to prominence in 2010 when their debut album Becoming a Jackal was shortlisted for the Mercury Music Prize and the Choice Music Prize (an annual award for the best Irish album). Their third album, Darling Arithmetic, was released in April.
