Will Mellor's I'm A Celeb Twitter prank
Will Mellor tricked his Twitter fans into believing he was going to be a contestant on this year's series of 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' by posting a photo of him dressed in the traditional jungle attire - but it was actually for a skit for the 'Keith Lemon Sketch Show'
Will Mellor tricked his Twitter followers into believing he was entering the jungle for 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' today (07.10.15).
The 'In The Club' star posted a photo of himself dressed in the traditional camp clothing of brown fedora hat and red gilet complete with voting phone number on the back.
The tweet sparked much excitement on his feed that he was going to face the dreaded Bushtucker Trials in Australia and he later deleted the post, which had been retweeted multiple times.
But two hours later Will sent a message to his fans revealing he was actually dressed in the jungle gear for a comedy skit mocking Ant and Dec's programme for the 'Keith Lemon Sketch Show'.
His tweet read: "No I'm not doing. "I'm A Celeb" I was filming for
"Keith Lemon Sketch Show" Gonna be hilarious! @LeighFrancis (sic)"
However, not all his Twitter followers believed him.
User Rhys O'Malley (@MCRExplosion) replied: "@Mellor76 yea suuuuuuure we believe you (sic)"
While tweeter Rory (@flub5568) wrote: "@Mellor76 @LeighFrancis ha ha you definitely got a few tongues wagging (sic)"
