Louis Walsh: The X Factor misses me
Louis Walsh has insisted it is the 'X Factor' missing him and not the other way around
Louis Walsh doesn't think 'The X Factor' is "as good" this year.
The 63-year-old talent manager was replaced on the ITV show's judging panel this year by Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw but he doesn't think the show has the same pull as it did before due to his and former host Dermot O'Leary's exit.
He said: "I have been watching. I think Dermot's missed big time. I really do. I think the older people like me and Dermot.
"It's not as good. I think they're missing me and Dermot to be really honest with you."
And Louis hasn't ruled out his return, hinting he could be reinstated if Nick Grimshaw was given the boot.
He said: "I could be free ... who is he going to get rid of. Everyone is contracted. Grimmy?"
But the former judge understands why show boss Simon Cowell chose much younger replacements.
Speaking on an episode of 'Celebrity Juice', he shared: "They were available and he wanted to give some new faces. Simon's got a new face himself. He wanted younger faces so he hired them. I was probably too old for the show."
