Simon Cowell has confessed he thinks it adds to the "fun" of 'The X Factor' when the live shows go wrong
Simon Cowell thinks it's "fun" when live shows go wrong.
The 'X Factor' boss has claimed he's not worried about the risk of disaster during the ITV show's upcoming live Judges' Houses and live shows because it makes them more entertaining.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "I know that it could go wrong. But I think that's part of the fun.
"I often think when we do live shows, I wish something would fall from the ceiling on to the stage just to show it's live."
However, it's been reported 'X Factor' producers have had to scrap plans to film Judges' Houses live and will instead pre-record the performances and then broadcast which contestants the judges' choose live from London.
An insider told Mirror TV: "We've always planned to have a live element to Judges' Houses, to give it more tension and drama. The biggest part of the show is the contestants' reactions - finding out whether they have made it to the live shows and learning who the final 12 are.
"Now that we are finalising our plans this will all happen live from the studio in Wembley with all the judges and the contestants together, along with their friends and family.
"For the rest of the show we are going to pre-record the contestants performing on location, as logistically and technically this will give us the best show for viewers."
Meanwhile, Simon is planning to make the weekly live shows more exciting for viewers.
He added to the Daily Star: "The live shows are going to have some big changes.
"I've got some ideas and we're going to trial them to see what works. I want the lives to be a lot more fun."
