Adele's stage fright

Adele is terrified she will die on stage.

The British singer suffers from crippling stage fright and fears she may keel over in the middle of a live performance.

She said: "I feel really weird. I've got this horrible feeling I am going to blackout onstage or collapse. Or die!"

Although Adele feels tense before she goes on stage, the 19-year-old star insists she doesn't feel she has to live up to critic's expectations.

The 'Chasing Pavements' singer, who received the Critics' Choice Award at the BRIT Awards earlier this year, explained to Q magazine: "I don't feel under pressure. I am fine, because I never made any claims about my success. I hope everyone can move on soon and forget about the hype. Then my music can speak for itself.

"I mean, the way some people have gone on about me you would think I had made 'Dark Side Of The Moon' or something!"
