Proclaimers launch talent search to become trio

'I'm Gonna Be Three' needs lookalikes
The Proclaimers, one of Scotland’s most loved bands, are turning to reality TV to find a third member.
Twins Charlie and Craig Reid, who have been performing together in their current incarnation since 1983, think it’s time to introduce a new musician into their lives.
Televised auditions will be held across Scotland, England and Wales. Although the third member won’t have to be Scottish, he will have to look like the near-identical twins, and must be able to pull off a passable Fife accent.
An ability to play something other than the guitar will be a bonus, and applicants are asked to bring their instruments to the audition.
The Reids’ fiercely loyal fans are expected to pull in healthy viewing figures for the show, which is expected to be called ‘I’m Gonna Be Three’, but the tight entry criteria might limit the number of applicants. (Hector Rimples)
