'Spider-Man' reboot writers have confirmed their role in penning the script for the film
'Spider-Man' the reboot is confirmed to be written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M Goldstein.
The Marvel film's writer has been allowed to talk about his role for the first time since, despite there being no announcement by the film company.
The 'Horrible Bosses' writers confirmed: "We can finally acknowledge. That this is the first time we that we can say that we are writing it."
Talking about the main character Peter Parker - who will be played by Tom Holland - John believes "humour" is key to his part.
He told website www.npr.org: "He's a sharp kid and witty and kind of deals with the fact that he's an outcast and a geek through humor. It is sort of the safety net for geeks like us, so I think we can totally relate to where he's coming from. As well as the superpowers, which we also have."
The directors also said they "haven't seen" the "non-stop wit" he portrays in the film.
They added: "When he puts that mask on in the comics, he has a non-stop wit that is almost as troublesome to the bad guys he is fighting as his webs and agility. And we feel we really haven't seen that in the movies. That's just the tip of the iceberg."
