Megadeth and Lamb of God announce co-headline tour of UK

Lamb of God

The heavy metal bands will thrash their way across the country in November 2015

Heavy metallers Megadeth and Lamb of God will be co-headlining a tour in the UK and Ireland this November, coinciding with the release of Megadeth’s 15th studio album.

2015 marks the 30th anniversary of Killing Is My Business… and Business Is Good, Megadeth’s debut album, which was well-received by the public and critics. In the last three decades, the pioneers of metal music have sold over 38 million albums worldwide. Last month, frontman Dave Mustaine won the Golden God award at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods, following in the footsteps of rock icons Marilyn Manson and Robb Flynn.

Grammy-nominated Lamb of God headlined the second stage at Download Festival in June. The Virginian new wave metal group formed in 1994, and have since released seven studio albums. VII: Sturm und Drang, their latest project, will be released on Fri 24 Jul, and fans can already listen to track ‘Erase This’. Longtime drummer Chris Adler was recently added to the Megadeth ranks so will perform with both groups at the shows.

The UK tour will run from Wed 11 Nov–Sun 15 Nov, with Children of Bodom and Sylosis providing support. Tickets are priced at £28.50, with the exception of the Wembley performance in London, which is £29.50.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Fri 17 Jul at 9am. Presales are available from 9am on Thu 16 Jul.

Braehead Arena, Glasgow – Wed 11 Nov.
O2 Apollo, Manchester – Thu 12 Nov.
The SSE Arena, Wembley, London – Sat 14 Nov.
O2 Academy, Birmingham – Sun 15 Nov.

Tickets on sale from 9am on Fri 17 Jul.

Megadeth & Lamb Of God

Thrash titans Megadeth join forces with Randy Blythe's heavy metal heroes for a co-headline tour (which makes sense as currently both bands share a drummer, Chris Adler).
