The Man Without Fear

(Marvel)

SUPERHERO CLASSIC

There are plenty of classic titles in John Romita Jr’s back catalogue but nothing beats this 1993 collaboration with Frank Miller. In fact, The Man Without Fear is up there with the best comics of all time. Retelling Daredevil’s origin story, much in the same way as he did with Batman in Year One, Miller’s grasp on the character with which he made his name is peerless. It’s an exhilarating tale packed with real emotion and depth.

Romita Jr’s art adds to the gritty urban noir bringing a fantastic dynamic to the action sequences. An essential read for any comics fan.
