Norman Jay

A lot is made of Norman Jay’s MBE (awarded on merit for ‘DJing and services to music’), but it’s the music that counts, and that’s just why Headspin have booked him. One of the founders of Kiss FM (in its pirate days) and regarded by many as the Godfather of rare groove, he’s the king of Notting Hill Carnival and his Good Times mixes are a second to none run through funk, soul and disco from reggae to Motown.

Headspin at The Bongo Club, Edinburgh, Sat 2 Dec.
