Starsailor announce UK tour
British band return with greatest hits shows
This article is from 2015.
Starsailor formed in Wigan in 2000. Riding the wave of acoustic British rock, created by the likes of Coldplay and Travis, their debut album Love is Here went to number two in the UK album charts powered by 'Good Souls' and the melancholy 'Alcoholic'. After support slots with Manic Street Preachers, The Rolling Stones and The Killers, working with Phil Spector on 2003's Silence is Easy and over three million records sold worldwide they officially announced the band was 'on hold' in 2009 while singer James Walsh worked on his solo career.
After reforming in 2014 for a handful of festival dates, Starsailor announced a double headline tour of the States with Embrace. Now they are returning to home soil for a 13 date 'greatest hits' tour starting in Liverpool (2 Oct) and ending in London (17 Oct).
